Czech Railways Launches Revolutionary Prague to Przemyśl Night Train, Connecting Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, and Poland

Daily Prague–Przemyśl Night Train Schedule

The new night train, operating under the EN 443 Slovakia service, will run every day. Departing Prague at 22:16, the train arrives in Przemyśl at 10:10 the following morning. Along the route, it stops at key Polish cities including Kraków and Rzeszów, before reaching the major interchange hub at Przemyśl. The return journey departs Przemyśl at 17:51, arriving in Prague at 07:46, providing a full overnight journey in both directions. Complete schedules and train composition are available in the official EN 443 Slovakia timetable.

This new route significantly improves access to south-eastern Poland, offering a reliable overnight travel option for both leisure and business passengers. By connecting the Czech capital with Przemyśl, it links into wider regional and international rail networks, making onward travel into Ukraine more seamless and convenient.

Integrated Connections to Ukrainian Railways

A standout feature of the Prague–Przemyśl service is its synchronization with Ukrainian Railways (UZ). Passengers arriving at Przemyśl can make same-day transfers to UZ trains traveling to Lviv, Kyiv, and Kharkiv. The timetable allows adequate time for border procedures while maintaining the convenience of a continuous overnight journey. Similarly, travelers returning from Ukraine can connect back to the night train for a smooth journey to Prague.

This integration ensures that travelers can reach destinations in Ukraine with only a single transfer, positioning Przemyśl as a key hub for international rail travel between Central Europe and Ukraine.

Enhanced Sleeper Coaches and Onboard Comfort

The train is designed for maximum comfort during overnight travel. It combines standard second-class compartments with modern air-conditioned Bcmz 834 sleeper coaches. Each sleeper coach includes eight compartments with 4- or 6-berth layouts, accommodating Single, Double, or Triple bookings. A women-only compartment adds privacy and safety for female passengers.

Passengers in the sleeper coaches receive a light breakfast with water and a hot drink, and beds are pre-arranged with blankets and pillows. An onboard attendant is present throughout the journey to maintain a secure and quiet environment. Additional snacks and drinks are available for purchase, ensuring convenience throughout the overnight trip.

Updates to Prague–Warsaw Night Train

Czech Railways’ Expanded Night Train Network for 2026

In 2026, Czech Railways will operate nine year-round and two seasonal night-train routes. Five of these lines will feature ČD’s own sleeper and couchette coaches, while routes to Poprad-Tatry, Košice, and Humenné will continue offering car-carrying options. The updated long-distance and night-train concept also introduces new international links, providing travelers with increased choices for cross-border journeys.

Domestically, Czech night trains already serve more than twenty destinations, with year-round connections to over 60 cities across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. These extensive links make night trains a sustainable and convenient alternative to air travel for both domestic and international trips.

Strengthening Cross-Border Travel

The new Prague–Przemyśl night train, together with the updated Prague–Warsaw schedule, highlights Czech Railways’ growing presence in the Central European night-train market. By offering well-coordinated schedules, modern sleeper coaches, and enhanced onboard services, the network improves cross-border connectivity to Poland and Ukraine. Passengers now have access to a practical, comfortable, and efficient overnight travel option, further establishing night trains as a preferred mode of long-distance transportation in Central Europe.

Czech Railways has launched a transformative Prague–Przemyśl night train designed to strengthen seamless travel across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. The new service enhances cross-border connectivity, modern comfort, and access to wider European and Ukrainian rail networks.
