A unique complex located overlooking the National and State Heritage listed Fishtraps (estimated at approximately 40 000 years old) these purpose built gunyahs house a history of Aboriginal people and their traditions in this area as well as offering Aboriginal art and craft for sale. This site is run by Brewarrina Business Centre, an Aboriginal co-operative, and staffed by local people who also conduct tours of the Fishtraps and can talk you through Baiame's dreaming - the story of the Fishtraps and how they came to be.
Tours can be booked directly through the Brewarrina Aboriginal Cultural Centre and staff can take group bookings including school excursions.
