It is located in an old part of Strathalbyn originally known as 'Tinpot', with its narrow lanes and restored stone cottages. Tariff includes provisions to make continental or cooked breakfasts, or for an extra fee your hosts will prepare breakfast for you. The king-size bed can be converted to two singles.
Hosts Helen and David Bunton have many connections with Asia. David has spent over 40 years in China and Hong Kong, and speaks Cantonese and some Mandarin. The accommodation has an en-suite bathroom, walk-in robe, kitchenette, dining and lounge space and is enlivened by furniture and treasures old and new from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia and Sarawak. Colour harmonies are inspired by a giant hand-painted fan of bamboo and cherry blossom, set against a fuchsia-coloured wall over the bed.
