The Moruya Town to Surf Fun Run was a regular event on the calendar in the 1970s and 80s and has been resurrected in recent years. It is attracting large numbers of competitors wanting to challenge themselves but have some fun at the same time.
The eight kilometre run starts at Moruya Riverside Park and travels along the public pathway adjacent South Head Road, concluding at Moruya Surf Life Saving Club. The carnival atmosphere at the finish is a highlight of the event and is a great way for competitors and their families to enjoy the beautiful spring weather that is on offer at this time of year.
While there are prizes for competitors, organisers don’t lose sight that the event is still a Fun Run....
